Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am so excited to be returning to Glenmeade and, most of all, beginning my first full year serving as the Assistant Principal. This is my 24th year in education, having spent 13 years in the classroom, 10 years as a Teacher on Special Assignment and Reading Specialist, and now serving in school administration. I live in Orange County with my husband Dave, 27 years, 2 adult children Jake and Kara, and our four cats. In my free time, I enjoy golfing with my husband, traveling, watching sports, and spending time at the beach.
As we begin the new school year, I look forward to working together to support every student's success. At the heart of our work are our PSIB expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. These values help create a positive school culture where students feel supported, challenged, and empowered to learn and grow.
This year, we will continue to engage students in rigorous, high-level thinking while encouraging them to make the most of every opportunity to lead by example. Together, we will foster a love of learning, celebrate growth, embrace challenges, and always strive to finish strong. I am honored to be part of the Glenmeade community and look forward to a wonderful year filled with learning, leadership, and success.
Thank you,
Mrs. Cindy Okamoto, Glenmeade Assistant Principal
